Finding the right therapist is essential!
I believe that therapy is a relational process of healing. This is especially true when your “stuckness” is related to negative beliefs formed in and emotional wounds caused by relationships; what is broken relationally is healed relationally. Therefore, I work collaboratively with you to help you move forward. Whether discovering what has contributed to your current “stuckness” from the past or developing creative ways to address your “stuckness” in the present, therapy will help you move forward.
Another, more technical, way to say this is that my approach is client-driven, solution-focused, strength-based, goal-oriented, cognitive-behavioral, experiential, and holistic. I utilize interventions from Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), among others.
